Autodesk this week has appointed two vice presidents of its Building Solutions Division, the one responsible for Architectural Desktop and Revit.
Or, as Autodesk pr says, they are "implementing a new dual-executive structure that optimizes the talents of its leaders and provides added value to customers driving change in their organizations."
The current vp, Phillip Bernstein, was well-known for attacking Revit -- until Autodesk bought Revit. He's becoming the "external vp," the cabinet minister of external relations, the foreign affairs minister. "Phil will work more closely on a daily basis with building industry leaders, standards groups, and customers. He will also continue to guide the vision of the Building Solutions Division."
The other vp is Jay Bhatt, Autodesk's current vp of corporate and business development, is the "internal vp," the internal affairs minister, handling engineering, marketing, and sales strategy.
It'll be interesting to watch how the shared responsibility of running a single division will work out.
