Make it 2: Today's release of LocationLogic 5 is Autodesk's second product to support Linux. (The first had been sofwtware from its Discrete Division of software for movies, games, and commercials.)
Will AutoCAD ever run on Linux? Microsoft's "partners" are growing braver. Hewlett-Packard is selling Linux PCs in Asia. "Is Microsoft happy that we're doing Linux stuff? Absolutely not." says HP executive Martin Fink (quoted in ditherati). But HP is still doing it, part of its new strategy of we-will-sell-what-makes-us-money (and away from we-will-sell-what-makes-Microsoft-happy).
