Being a public company, Autodesk has to post financial information about the top five officers of the company. It recently reported changes to compensation received by its top two employees.
Carl Bass now gets a base salary of US$700,000 plus a minimum of 100% in bonuses, making it $1.4 million per year. Plus the company promises to nominate him to the board of directors, which would provide additional income. Plus he is eligible for stock grants and other benefit plans (health, etc).
Carol Bartz new base salary is US$500,000, but unlike Mr Bass working full-time, Ms Bartz receives it working 20 hours a week for the company. But no bonuses and no automatic stock options. Following retirement, she and her dependents receive health benefits for the remainder of her life.
Both employees have 30-day notices: the company can fire and the employee can quit on 30 days notice.
